Charlotte Lacroix, DVM, JD

  • Owner and CEO of Veterinary Business Advisors, Inc. with more than 20 years experience in the veterinary profession
  • Earned a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1988 from the University of California at Davis
  • Completed a large animal internship at the University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada), and worked for several years at an equine medical and surgical referral practice serving northern New Jersey's large equine community
  • Earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1997, and is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey
  • Lectures extensively nationwide and overseas, and is a frequent speaker at NAVC, AVMA, AAHA, WVC, VSIPP and other veterinary association and industry meetings and seminars
  • Serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Pennsylvania
  • Regular contributor to JAVMA, Veterinary Economics, DVM Magazine, Veterinary Forum, Partners in Practice and AAHA publications, and has written numerous other articles, contributed to several books, and appeared on radio and television
  • Volunteer service to veterinary and other organizations, including AVMA, AAHA, AAEP, NJAEP, NJVMA, PVMA and NAVC

Martin H. Miller, MBA, SPHR

  • Human Resources Practice Leader with 20 + years of HR experience for multi-national industry leaders like Frito-Lay, M&M/Mars, and Simon & Schuster
  • 12 years experience running his own international wholesale and distribution company with offices in New Jersey and Venezuela
  • MBA in Management and Industrial Relations from the University of Bridgeport, CT
  • BS in Economics from Bentley University, MA
  • Certified as a senior level practitioner within the HR industry (SHRM)
  • National and regional representative of several associations
  • Adjunct professor of Marketing at Centenary College in New Jersey
  • Author of several articles on Human Resources and featured speaker at various local and national meetings

 

Cynthia Prisco, Executive Assistant

  • Expertly serves as VBA's initial point of contact with clients, providing excellent personal service
  • Handles all administrative and operational aspects of VBA, including, client service and appointment scheduling; marketing; event planning; computer support and financial management; database management and technology development
  • Several years of progressively responsible experience providing administrative assistance and client support
  • Most recently served as a fundraising Development Associate for the non-profit division of Thomas Edison State College
  • Fluent in Spanish
